“Baby It’s Cold Outside! Time to Visit a Prehistoric Friend!”

The cold weather is beginning to settle in and this means less time running around outside. Maybe it’s time to visit your prehistoric friends at a natural history museum near you. We love our Museum of Ancient Life at Thanksgiving Point and Museum of Natural History at the University of Utah. We’re lucky to have two top ranked museums located across the Wasatch Front. One of my favorite prehistoric fossils at the Museum of Ancient Life is the earliest horse. It looks like “Kevin” the bird in the movie “Up.” Check out our read aloud, “Dinosaur Cove: Catching the Velociraptor,” about two boys, Jamie and Tom who have discovered a world of real dinosaurs through the hole in a cave on the cliff of Dinosaur Cove. They meet Wanna, a new friend, and in this book run into a Velociraptor. What would you do with a magic potion?

I’d like a magic portion that could help me change a few things. I’d like to be figure mathematics problem quicker. Occasionally I’d prefer to be taller or shorter depending on what activity we’re doing. How about you? Would want to change anything if you had a magic potion? Story Time with Amber and Erin reads aloud “Freckle Juice” by Judy Blume.
