Can you hear the ring of the bell?

One Christmas Eve, many years ago, a young child lay waiting in his bed to hear the bells on Santa’s sleigh as they land on his roof? He didn’t hear the bells of Santa’s sleigh but rather the tooting horn on a train. He and a group of other children make a magical trip to see Santa and elves at the North Pole. This young child was given a bell from the reigns of one of Santa’s reindeer. It was a magic bell. For those you still believe in the true magic of Christmas can hear the bell ring. Can you still hear the ring of Christmas bells? Get into the magic of the season by listening to Erin read “The Polar Express“! Home Alone: A Childhood Memory

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! It snowed last night. There is a dusting of snow flakes on the grass and driveway. Time to bundle up in fluffy blanket or soft robe and join us for a classic Christmas story, “Home Alone.” When Erin was 10 years old she live the country of Chile in South America for three years with my parents. I was studying at the university and was able to visit them about four times in those 3 years. This was before smart phones, dvd players, and the internet when you could stream movies. So they spent the three years watching the same videotapes repeatedly. Home Alone was one of their favorite as it reminded them of being home in the States. So, I could help buying the book and recording it for Erin to share with you. It holds a special play in her and my Mom’s memories.  We are two sisters on a mission to make a difference by spreading fun and engaging literacy experiences across the globe. Happy Holidays. – Amber and Erin 🙂
