Enjoy the Magic of the Season with Us: Just for a Few Minutes

For the next few days let’s find 1 or 2 moments that we can enjoy the magic of the holiday season. Maybe let any worries go … just for a few minutes. Sing a song with us (find it in our recent recordings) or listen to us share a story.

Opus, the penguin, has a wish for wings that work. Well, a wish for wings that work in a different way than his. He wants ones that fly. With Christmas morning soon approaching, he decides to write Santa and ask him for wings that fly. But, uh-oh, something goes wrong on Christmas Eve and Opus’ help is needed! What happens and will Santa answer Opus’ request? Join Erin as she reads aloud “A Wish for Wings that Work” by Berkeley Breathe. Thank you for tuning in to Story Time with Amber and Erin! “The Tiger Rising” by Story Time with Amber and Erin

One of our most popular read alouds is “The Tiger Rising” by Kate DiCamillo. Students across the United States use our read along to help them with book reports. The nicest compliment that they give us is posting short thank you notes on our Youtube page. Check it out! Book Summary – “Walking through the misty Florida woods one morning, twelve-year-old Rob Horton is stunned to encounter a tiger — a real-life, very large tiger — pacing back and forth in a cage. What’s more, on the same extraordinary day, he meets Sistine Bailey, a girl who shows her feelings as readily as Rob hides his. Please remember to check out and subscribe to our Youtube channel. You can also find us at: FacebookInstagramPinterest, and Twitter. Let’s Go Digital: Developing Learning for Today’s Child!

It is possible to use technology to inspire interest in literature in our children, tweens and teens. Our mission is to make a difference by spreading fun and engaging literacy experiences across the globe, via the digital world, as evidenced by our literature Youtube channel, Story Time with Amber and Erin. As we enter our second year on this project, we are incorporating some of the basics. Shakespeare’s works has had a huge influence on the creation and evolution of the English language. In addition, for centuries nursery rhymes have served the purpose of telling history, and now is considered the foundation of prereading for children. As are some other educators, we are meshing the two to give learning a different look and experience for today’s children. Thanks for tuning in and please remember to subscribe to our channel on Youtube. You can also find us at: FacebookInstagramPinterest, and Twitter.
