The snow has returned. What a surprise! So, we will stay bundled up until Spring’s arrival. It is a whopping 18 degrees outside. This is up from 4 degrees this morning. It’s so cold that no one is interested even in venturing outside to make snowmen. We know how excited you all become for snow storms! Snow means that snowmen and forts are ready to be created, and snow balls ready to be thrown. Where we live, we now have piles of snow that we shovel aside to make pathways to walk and drive and for the children to play in the snow! “The Snowy Day” by Ezra Jack Keats is a charming story that follows the main character, Peter, as he wakes up one morning to his surroundings covered with snow and he goes on a snowy day adventure! This is a fun way to get excited about winter.
