Hendrix Consulting Education aims to teach to the 3 learning styles: visual (learns through seeing), auditory (learns through listening), and tactile/kinesthetic (learns through moving, doing and touching). We achieve teaching to the 3 learning- styles through providing educational experiences based in the Integrated Creative Arts, including: creative movement, creative drama, music, visual art, and creative writing. We used the internet, books and information learned in classes so all activities and information you can find if you search for it. The difference is how we organized the information to be used with students. Each student is provided the opportunity to explore weekly themes through seeing, listening, moving, doing and touching.

“Ants and Worms” Lesson Details: This theme is dedicated to exploring what is growing and living under the garden’s soil: like wiggling worms and colonies of ants. Worms are important to the health of the soil: they convert organic material into nutrients that plants can absorb; they loosen the soil, which makes it easier for the roots to grow and the air and water to circulate in the soil; they increase the soil’s water retention capability; they bring the mineral and other nutrients that are located deep in the soil to the top layer, where they can be absorbed by the plants. Ants are amazing: they create homes with many chambers, have very strong legs, they have a great sense of smell, strong jaws, and they are well organized.
